I woke up too early with a headache I've had for two days now and work is going to be stupid because work is always stupid. We haven't done this since June of last year of last year so let's go.

Imagine that suddenly, everyone on the island is struck with relationship-amnesia. Trysts, exes, boyfriends, girlfriends, gone!

Post your character's name here and people can reply, whether anonymous or in-character with their dabbling in the Cupidly arts. Do you know what Cupid really, really loves? When you give reasons as to the match-up.

You can comment with your face on or anonymously if you want, and reasons can be anything. Maybe they have chemistry already, maybe it'd just be hot. Though they'd probably all be hot, it's a ridiculously pretty place.

Good morning, everyone. The squirrels came back so I'm guessing I was right and this is a thing that's happening. I am a little annoyed I got dragged to the radio station for three notes though so maybe next time let's just do this at my house?

Anyway. Rey made it to work despite the glitter and zombie bunnies and the everything of this last week, and Bucky went for a patrol of the island, where Riri got to rightfully complain about how weird it's been, while also getting to see one of those old memory things that's been happening, of Bucky. Im sure that wasn't awkward for anyone.

And that's all that I have. It seems to be normal enough today, but I don't trust it. Enjoy it until something happens.

As Sunday evening turned into the early hours of Monday, the Jack O'Lanterns (or what had still been left of them), the bunnies, and even the polar bears with their Cokes all went away again, and so the week of chaos and lack of swearing and occasional errant memories came to a close.

When Monday morning broke, it was unremarkable - except for how clear the sky was, and how fresh the air felt, and how nice and warm and yet not too hot it was outside.

In short: the weather was perfect.

Welcome to the first week of however many more years were still to come, Fandom island. Make it a good one.

[ooc: Why yes, as a bonus you all get a day of just really nice weather.]

Liliana looked around her store in distaste. There was glitter everywhere. It looked like there had been a blizzard of glitter (she refused to acknowledge 'glizzard' as a word) in the store itself, with piles of glitter in heaps all around.

"I'm going to come down with sparkle lung," she muttered, stalking to the maintenance closet to get out the broom and dustpan.

...No, obviously, not for her to use. Don't be ridiculous. If she really had to, she would summon her steward over, but for now, the haunted armor and the ambush chair were doing a good enough job of it. And bottle gnomes. She was also pressing bottle gnomes into service. And some clockwork gnomes. And a clockwork servant. And...whatever the hell these things were, they were put to work cleaning the building, too.

There was no chance of her getting her shop glitter-free, no, but she'd settle not having to wade through several inches of the stuff.

Rey walked in with a Coke, past some bunnies ripping into a Jack-o-lantern outside, past the Starbucks gremlins looking sort of guilty about whatever they did the other day but also kind of betrayed by the Coke, still finding glitter on everything.

This week was so, so dumb. At least she'd gotten a lot of lightsaber practice in?

She got in, got to work... and that work was mostly trying to get the new? glitter off her hands before actually working. Had it been on the bottle? How did this much even get there?

Bucky had spent at least a chunk of every day this week handwavily because lolsob what is brain taking a patrol or two around the island, just to see what exactly was going on and if there was anything, particularly any seeming escalation of events, that Jesse and the rest of the mayor's office needed to be informed of.

And that was what he was doing out on the streets on Sunday, too. Down Apocalypse, up Minotaur, onto Unicorn, checking store windows for anything that seemed like more than the obvious and already accounted for. Which was the Halloween lanterns and the rabbits made him feel kinda queasy to look at, if he was honest.

(He also had a Coke shoved awkwardly into a pocket that the can didn't really fit into. He hadn't wanted one, but refusing a gift from a big white bear didn't seem like the best idea.)

So down along Unicorn he went. Groovy Tunes, Ching Tai, Wonka's.

... Wonka's.

Movement inside the candy store caught his eye. He crept closer to the window, feeling almost unwilling to do so - because he already knew what he would find.

Him. Before the war, before everything. Before too much experience with the then-modern day, too, by the look of that banana tasting.

He'd actually looked that young at one point?

Geez.

(He stayed to watch the moment play out, transfixed.)

Okay, so things have somehow gotten weirder than before. Everyone, just stay indoors maybe? Like most people did yesterday. Glitter. So much glitter if you didn't notice. Personally, I'll be cleaning it out of the armor for months. Raiden did his best to keep it out of the food at Over Easy, but allowed it in the drinks. Harley came for brunch, but stayed for the shirtlessness and wings. And I don't think this is the squirrels being weird for once.

But that's all there was. Maybe everyone should cross their fingers for a nice, normal tomorrow?

The week of re-run happenings was drawing to a close. And that... was apparently inspiring the island to draw on some end-of-year things slightly off-schedule. Or maybe it was just looking forward into the near future, instead of back?

Either way, Jack O' Lanterns popped up all across the island, on window sills and by doors and all lined up by the paths in the park to create a nice bit of atmosphere.

Which would've been fine on its own, but it wasn't long before the sweet smell of pumpkins also drew out some bunnies from wherever such creatures hid when they weren't being called upon to make a cameo appearance on the island. And they were no ordinary bunnies: they were undead, for a start, all sharp teeth and empty eyes, fixated on one goal and one goal only, to feast on Jack O' Lantern brains!

How that worked when Jack O' Lanterns were famously carved empty, no one had yet to figure out. Still, the bunnies would be attacking the lanterns and their largely-empty pumpkiny goodness all day long. Unlike many other things during the week, they weren't as interested in humans.

Still probably best not to get in their way.

But hey, in terms of fauna that definitely wasn't going to attack anyone: the polar bears were also back! Kind of confused about being around in falltime, but still ready and happy to hand out Cokes to all they came across.

[ooc: Happy holidays/Halloween, island.]

Good morning, everyone. If you are planning on going out today, do take an umbrella, although I am not certain how much good it shall do you. I am positively covered in sparkles, which the squirrels tell me are called 'glitter.' It's very pretty! But not quite what I had planned for this outfit.

Also, I had to run from a shark. This sort of thing is why I stay out of the sea, you know!

Let's get on with things, shall we?

At the school, Driver's Education started by having their students race, then introduce themselves. Shouldn't they get some education in how to drive first? No, no, you're quite right, I shouldn't tell the teachers how to do their jobs. Weather and Storms likewise introduced themselves, for our last set of the week.

Nothing from the dormitory, so let's move along to the town, shall we? I'm sure we all noticed that the laws of physics seemed to be suspended yesterday--yes, I know what the laws of physics are, don't look so surprised; Sir Isaac was English, you know--and the island's gremlin population seemed rather, ah, active yesterday. Also, the alligators with the goldfish--look, it was a day, all right? I'm sure we can all agree we had rather a day yesterday, but at least we had hands? I haven't very many notes on the situation--I suspect some of the squirrels of falling victim to the gremlins--but it seems that at Pick Your Poison, Dr. Isley was watching out the window, whilst Miss Skywalker was just trying to make her way through the chaos to her warehouse. I do hope she made it there safely, but alas, that is the last of my notes. Now I shall make my way back through the glitter, and the sharks, to the safety of my room, and you shall hear from me again next week, when hopefully things will not be so...much.

Sure, there had already been some odd weather earlier in the week, but in hindsight, maybe snow at the beginning of September hadn't been that odd? At least, in comparison with the bout of weather that kicked up in the early hours of Saturday.

At first, it was just a light sprinkling of glitter from the sky. But it then it just kept going, and the glitterfall got heavier, and winds picked up until it was an actual glizzard - something which apparently came around every ten years or so, and as such, people who had been on the island on a fateful day back in 2015 may have been cursing - well, attempting to curse - how they'd just stopped finding flecks of glitter on their stuff from the last time.

But what was new, sort of, was that the high winds eventually caused a small-ish tornado to form and to roam various parts of the island throughout the day.

... Wait, no, sorry, not a tornado. A sharknado. An extremely glittery sharknado, with annoyed dwarf sharks that were really not happy about having gotten swept up into a sparkling weather event, but which were also more than happy to try and make that the problem of anyone the 'nado brought them within snapping distance of.

And while all this was happening, angry disco balls could be found rolling around the streets of Fandom, like particularly irate (and glittering) tumbleweeds. All in all, it was the prettiest, most sparkling chaos most people were likely to ever have seen.

But hey, maybe the glitter had some boykissy properties? You never knew.

[ooc: You will be finding glitter everywhere for weeks.]

This week was a lot. It was a lot and Rey didn't appreciate the holding-spitting alligators because what did you even do with that? Sure, you smack goldfish away with a lightsaber or the Force, but come on.

Other things she did not appreciate:

* That her eyes bugged out like a cartoon when she saw said goldfish-spitting alligator
* That she said "what the help" when that happened

Plus she was just trying to get to her warehouse and there was a box ahead held up with a stick that was clearly attached to string, with a sign pointing to it reading "PUPPIES INSIDE."

Good morning, everyone! ...am I the only one seeing a person very obviously dressed like a shrub in the corner right there?

*chittering*

Right. Um. Avast, Captain Barbossa. This is Steve Rogers, I'm no longer a pony and the dinosaurs are gone, but I did have to dodge alligators spitting goldfish and a rickshaw full of gremlins with a "FREE CANDY" sign on my way here, so it's only gotten stranger out there, folks. Let's get to the notes.

In classes yesterday, we all learned to be grateful for our thumbs. Raiden's class met in the park instead of using Portalocity because taking a bunch of ponies on a field trip would probably bring up a lot of questions. The students did introductions, with some being more okay with transforming than others. Tony and I were both ponies and were a little optimistic about how much baking our pony-fied students could do. Liliana didn't let being a pony stop her from lecturing her class about zombies, though she did skip introductions for this week. Summer and Stark, who both missed being ponied, texted with their thumbs about how great it was to have thumbs. Jon got clarification about what Liliana meant by "mindless" and Liliana learned what Jon meant by "Tory", and Erasmus and Liliana are apparently from two very different schools of necromancy. Liliana took a moment to boggle about it at Ignis after class, and Belle attempted to read a book with her nose in the library.

*chittering*

Because she was a pony, yes.

In town, Liz somehow didn't notice the ponies or the dinosaurs while Sabine turned into a pony and went out to fight dinosaurs. Luma wasn't a pony but she was avoiding stocking the new fall and winter clothing at Pixie Dust. Thor was talking to himself while figuring out how to serve drinks while having hooves, and the Supper Club only made it as far as J, GOB last night. Poor Henry thought this might be a really vivid dream, which it wasn't, but it also wasn't because Henry's a witch like Captain Flint tried to tell him. Flint was very grumpy about being a pony and he told Lydia he hadn't enjoyed being a teenager, either. Rey told Lydia that she had been throwing dinosaurs via telekinesis, which would've been very useful, and Flint hoped that his island butt tattoo didn't last into today. Did you check?

*rapid chittering*

I'm not trying to get you horribly murdered, Leroy. Ignis was at the bakery and a pony, and Liliana arrived riding a zombie dinosaur and it was--

*chittering*

I was going to say terrifying, too! Lydia told Liliana about her triumph in getting flour into her mug for our baking class yesterday and then admitted that she forgot she could've used magic to help. Oops. Flint was also there to express his displeasure about being a pony to Liliana. Well, it's worn off today, so time to move on.

This is Steve Rogers, and I'm watching the gremlins pull a giant anvil labeled "ACME" over the door to the studio--which has a glass door, so good job, guys--so be careful out there. Duck and roll, everyone.

Thor was back to himself, and not a moment too soon.

His students had been asked to meet in the Danger Shop, though they might have wondered why when they exited to find themselves in a classroom not unlike those available down the hall. Then they might notice the rain whipping the windows; the occasional flash of lightning outside followed by thunder loud enough to shake the room.

"Good morning," Thor said as he stood before them in his full Thor glory, Mjolnir sitting upon the teacher's desk. "I am Thor, the god of thunder, and if you are here you wish to learn more about the weather, and experience the glory of nature's fury." He was assuming, anyway. "And indeed, we shall do that together, but for today, I believe introductions are traditional, no?" Also he hadn't really had time to plan a class this week, what with the...everything. "Please, tell me of yourselves, and what brings you to my class."

Even if no one else had, the moose had taken inspiration from the gremlin's creative ~vision~ and today's class was the result.

As for the fact today's class was not taking place in the Danger Shop, but was rather starting down by the causeway, where a number of brightly coloured rickshaws awaited the class, well, Cara was sure they could find a way to blame the moose when it all went wrong.

"So, it looks like we're on another day of weirdness," Jane said. "But at least it works with class. In a way."

Why was there a blue turtle shell by those rickshaws?

Surely, its presence was a mere coincidence!

"Rather than have traditional introductions, we're going to have a race around the island, and then have you introduce yourself after crossing the finish line," Cara explained. "Normally this would be a terrible idea, but not today." Because today it was a hilariously terrible idea, which was a completely different thing entirely.

"Let's get to it.," Jane said, immediately slipping on a convenient banana peel. But in a very comedic way. Thanks, Fandom. Thanks.

The boob-ghost had left over the course of the week, at least, and Pam had let herself be lulled into a false sense of security.

That ended on Friday morning, as she watched the gremlins outside through the window. They had pulled a trampoline all the way down the stairs, to just to the side of her store. Now one of them appeared to be dragging in a... bowling ball?

She sipped her coffee.

A goldfish went flying past.

Everypony had had a great time, yesterday, right? If the answer was no, well, Friday was yet another new day, and everyone's bodies were back to their usual non-pony state.

But now mutant alligators were rising from the sewers. And for whatever reason - no one had been able to figure it out back in 2009 and no one was likely to figure it out now - the alligators also occasionally spat out mutant goldfish that had CHOMPY JAWS OF DOOM. Yes, the all-caps was important, somehow.

And surely that would be enough for one day?

Wrong!

Because Thursday had been whimsy/terror, and so Friday also had to exist on a similar scale, apparently, according to the island. So now physics itself was a little bit off. Gravity no longer had meaning as long as you didn't look down. You could stop a gun from firing if you stuck a finger in the gun barrel. If you ran away from someone - or something like say, an alligator, or its goldfish - and didn't look where you were going you could leave a you-shaped hole in the wall...

In essence: Looney Tunes rules.

Meanwhile, the island's ever-present gremlin population, who'd just been going about their usual business up until this point in the week, saw this all as their chance. They were deft hands with the cartoon rules, and would be springing so very moddable ridiculous ACME-brand schemes all across the island to try and trap people and bite them all throughout the day.

Had you ever had an honest-to-God anvil dropped on your head by a gremlin looking to chomp its teeth into you? Now was your chance!

[HAPPY 20TH ANNIVERSARY, GAME!

Still no cursing, still the option of seeing stuff like perhaps a classic gremlin bite play out.]

Belle was a pony. This made most library activities difficult for her but she was determined to still read something.

Finding a book she could open and turn the pages of with her hooves was difficult. So maybe she was just flipping through an oversized art book very awkwardly.

At least she was adorable as a pony? Such a pretty shade of blue!

So, what happened when a woman who could turn into a werewolf turned into a horse?

That was a good question, but Luma wouldn't have an answer to that, as she appeared to be completely unaffected by whatever was going on right now. It was still relatively unclear she had even noticed anything going on at all, in fact, or that she, like her sister before her, might have some sort of immunity.

(This immunity may be tied directly to the powerful nature of laziness and lack of time on the part of unseen forced, but who could really know for sure?)

She was just simply at work, as usual, and spending an inordinate amount of time trying to figure out what her thoughts on all these cowboy boots and snow gear that had arrived today were.
